Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Stamford Hospitals volunteer community outreach program is designed to increase and enhance volunteer involvement in Stamford Hospital, Tully Health Center and other affiliates. The program represents a coordinated effort to provide a broad selection of volunteer opportunities that fit in with todays busy lifestyles, while maintaining the primary focus on the needs of our patients.

We make it easy for volunteers to get started quickly, with a minimum of hassle and red tape. Our commitment is to ensure that each volunteer is well matched and well recognized regardless of whether they volunteer once a week or once a year

Main Information Desk. If you are looking for an opportunity to use your charm and common sense, you will not be disappointed by volunteering at the Main Information Desk. The phones ring, visitors stop by, and flowers arrive. In many instances you are the first person visitors or callers encounter. You will set the tone for the hospital by being sensitive to patients and family needs needs. Being bilingual is a plus but not required.

Premed Summer Program. Premedical students entering the third or fourth year of college, or students applying to medical school are welcome to apply. This program allows the student to work side by side with professionals. Highly motivated students, who demonstrate a strong initiative and a deep sense of curiosity, will benefit from their assignments. A commitment of no less than three mornings a week between June and August is required.
